How to disable UAC in Windows 7 and Windows 2008 from Command Line and GUI

User Access Control introduced in Windows Vista is enabled by default in Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server. UAC provides us a layer of security to prevent unauthorized changes from being made to the workstations/servers. Whenever a user or an application attempts to perform an operation that involves changing system configuration which will affect the operating system and/or other users, UAC will prompt for permissions before allowing the operation. This will ensure only authorized changes are made and also prevents malicious softwares from making changes to the operating system. Though this can be considered a nice securtiy feature it is quite annoying for System Administrators and for power users who knows what they are doing.

Warning: Disabling UAC reduces system security. Do not do it unless you know what you are doing.
